Recovery Celebration Event
Randolph County Opioid Collaborative, a coalition of local organizations including Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS), Blue Cross Blue Shield NC, BrightView, Community Hope Alliance, Insight Human Services, Keaton's Place, Kintegra Family Medicine, Morse Clinic of Asheboro, NC AHEC, NCWorks, Prevo Drug, Randolph Community College, Randolph County, Randolph County Adult Day Reporting Center, Randolph County Department Social Services, Randolph County Emergency Management/Services, Randolph County Juvenile Day Reporting Center, Randolph County Public Health, Randolph County School System, Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Randolph Health, Trillium Health Resources, and Unchained Ministries, is proud to announce the upcoming Recovery Celebration event on September 21, 2024 at Keaton’s Place Parking Lot, 120 Worth Street, Asheboro. This inspiring event aims to honor the strength of individuals on their journey to recovery, while raising awareness about addiction and mental health challenges in our community. The Recovery Celebration will take place from 1pm to 4pm and will feature a variety of activities, including food trucks, memory wall, children’s activities, t-shirts, art show, and resource booths offering information about support services. Activities are designed for individuals of all ages, families, and friends, ensuring a space for everyone to come together and celebrate resilience and hope. “We’re excited to bring together members of our community to celebrate recovery and share the message that healing is possible,” said Jennifer Layton, Assistant Director of Randolph County Public Health. “This event is not just about recovery—it's about creating a supportive environment and fostering connections among individuals, families, and service providers.” This event represents a united front in the fight against stigma and will empower individuals to seek help while providing hope for a brighter future. Everyone is invited to participate in this free event to promote healing, understanding, and community solidarity.
