Charlie Copple Book Signing at Brightside Gallery March 11, 2017, 1 to 4 pm
Brightside Gallery, 170 Worth Street, in downtown Asheboro, will host a book signing featuring Asheboro author, Charlie Copple and his new book "Charlie’s Travels" on March 11, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public. Charles was born September 7, 1925. He graduated from Farmer High School. He helped his father in the farming and sawmilling business until he took a job at Randolph Farm Equipment in 1949 as a parts man. In 1970, he bought the business and then is when the opportunity to travel presented itself. He has traveled to 13 countries on three continents, and has seen much of the United States. In this book, he shares his experiences. He has traveled on planes, ships, and in cars. He has ridden camels and seen the wonders of the world. When he was born the world was completely different—no electricity, no phones, no ANYTHING that we consider necessities today. Life was hard and his escape was to read about far-away places and dream of seeing them some day. This book is about his opportunities and adventures. He hopes you enjoy reading about them as much as he enjoyed seeing them. Please remember to shop local and support a talented area author!
